Dr. Jessica R. Burgy is a board-certified Dermatologist and native West Virginian, earning her undergraduate degree from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She received her medical degree from Marshall University's School of Medicine, graduating with the distinction of Alpha Omega Alpha. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Marshall University before completing her Residency in Dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Dr. Burgy is a member of the American Board of Dermatology.
When Dr. Burgy is not taking care of patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, son, Emerson, and daughter, Madeline.

Dr. Cody J. Connor is a board-certified dermatologist originally from Iowa, where he completed his undergraduate and medical school training as a Hawkeye at the University of Iowa. He graduated with honors and highest distinction and with the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha designation. He completed his intern year at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa before moving on to his dermatology residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). He is widely published in the dermatology literature, including authorship in the most recent American Academy of Dermatology guidelines for the treatment of psoriasis. He specializes in general dermatology, as well as cosmetic and surgical dermatology, with a particular passion for treating psoriasis, acne, atopic dermatitis, hair loss, and hidradenitis suppurativa. He prides himself on his bedside manner and the time he takes to educate his patients and answer questions. He hopes to ensure that each patient feels adequately listened to, and that they leave with a full understanding of their diagnosis, treatment options, and specifics of the chosen plan. In cosmetic dermatology, he particularly enjoys administering botulinum toxin, as it allows him the opportunity to blend medicine and artistry and to truly assess each individual patient's anatomy and personal goals to deliver the most desirable outcome.
When Dr. Connor is not taking care of patients, he enjoys hiking, fiction writing, binge watching Netflix shows with his wife, Michelle, and spending copious amounts of time playing with his three young children.

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Coty L. Campbell, is a Dermatology Specialist and native South Carolinian, earning her undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in 2002, graduating with Honors. Followed by extensive training in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, Nurse Practitioner Coty Campbell has over 16 years of experience specializing in the field of dermatology.
When Coty is not taking care of patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, boating, and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks!

Mattie Lawson is a results-driven aesthetician with extensive education, training and dermatology experience. She is a graduate of the Aesthetics Academy of Lexington, where she has been trained in the use of state-of-the-art equipment, products and methodologies for optimal care of all skin types and concerns. Mattie is also a Certified CoolSculpting Specialist, with distinguished strengths in enhancing clients’ personal appearances using the latest in body contouring techniques for non-surgical fat reduction.
Mattie has a lovable personality with a proven track record of practicing safe, effective, and hygienic esthetics. She effectively determines the most appropriate and beneficial treatments for clients and medical patients with the highest quality of guest services. Heather Mattei is a Spartanburg native and cosmetic dermatology specialist, earning her Bachelors degree in Studio Art from the University of South Carolina, with an additional concentration in figure studies and photography from Old Dominion University. Having always had a passion for skin care, she furthered her education with extensive training in dermatology, aesthetics, and makeup artistry in Charleston, SC, falling in love with helping people transform their skin and bodies to reach their goals.
As a Certified Coolsculpting Specialist, she brings her artistic eye and expert training in the latest nonsurgical fat reduction technology into creating a personalized treatment to transformation plan for each patient. Heather is dedicated to using the most innovative methods to help her patients achieve their personal best, with a level of service and enthusiasm that is unmatched.
When Heather is not taking care of her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Rick, hiking and traveling, boating on Lake Murray, watching Disney movies, and working on her art.

Carson Gross is the Clinical Research Coordinator at Columbia Dermatology & Aesthetics and manages multiple Clinical Trials, putting the practice on the forefront of advancing medical dermatology. She became at Licensed Practical Nurse in 2000, graduating from Methodist College of Practical Nursing in Memphis, TN. In 2009, Carson transitioned into pursuing research as the Research Coordinator at The Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders. Through her experience and passion for research, Carson continues to portray exemplary patient care and scientific prowess while collecting the data needed to improve the medical treatment options for many dermatological conditions.
Carson is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and a member of the Atlanta Chapter of ACRP.
In her off hours, Carson enjoys spending time with her family and creating custom floral arrangements.

John Seal is a West Columbia native and expert Medical Laser Technician, with 20 years experience specializing in tattoo removal, reduction of hair-growth, facial rejuvenation, vascular and pigmented lesions/birthmarks, and ablative/non-ablative facial procedures. In addition, John is our lead trainer for the Sciton Profile and has perfected the art of utilizing the BBL and Profractional Lasers for severely sun-damaged skin. John is also our lead trainer and expert for our Lumenis Holmium laser system.
When not representing Columbia Dermatology, John enjoys spending time with his son Evan. John is an aficionado of music and is a talented, self-taught guitarist and drummer.
